Free Emerald Tour
Free Emerald Tour
At the appointed time, we will start this free tour of Bogota's emerald traditions from Calle 11 #3-75 in La Candeleria, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the capital of Colombia.
Did you know that Bogota is known as the emerald capital of the world? Join us to find out how this mineral is extracted! How much is an emerald jewel worth? We will unveil these and other questions during the tour.
During the tour, we will discover how these fascinating stones are formed in the depths of the earth, and we will also talk about their extraction and polishing process. As we will see, each emerald is a masterpiece of nature, shaped over millennia by geological forces and transformed by the artisanal skill of Colombian goldsmiths.
Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to admire some of the most impressive and unique pieces: from exquisitely crafted jewelry to unpolished pieces that show beauty in its most natural state. To conclude this unique experience, we will offer you a tasting of Colombian coffee and other ancestral beverages.
After an hour of learning more about Colombian emeralds, the free tour will come to an end in downtown Bogota.
