Description

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your Bogota hotel and set off for Villa de Leyva, a scenic journey of approximately four hours. Along the way, we'll make a brief stop to get yourself some breakfast near the Boyacá bridge.

Once in Villa de Leyva, we'll embark on a sightseeing tour of its charming old town, where the centerpiece is the expansive Plaza Mayor, Colombia's largest square at 14,000 square meters (150,700 square feet).

You'll have the chance to explore significant landmarks like the Nuestra Señora del Rosario church and visit the Natural History Museum, which houses a remarkable collection of regional fossils. If you prefer, you can also choose to visit an ostrich farm, the artificial lakes of Pozos Azules, or the famous Mud Hand, one of the area's most photographic sites!

Afterward, you'll have a 2-hour break for lunch. Feeling refuelled, we'll return to Bogota, concluding this 15-hour adventure back at your hotel.

Muy linda experiencia, un viaje largo desde Bogota pero vale la pena. Villa Leiva tiene ese encanto como que el tiempo nunca hubiera pasado. A very nice experience, a long trip from Bogota but worth it. Villa Leiva has that charm as if time had never passed. Nuestro guía fue Alejandro. Excelente servicio y explicaciones. Se tomó el tiempo preciso para explicarnos e incluso tuvimos tiempo para disfrutar libremente. Recomendaría al menos dos días para conocer Villa Leyva, si tienen el tiempo preciso. Incluye un desayuno riquísimo típico de Boyacá. fuimos al museo paleontológico y de Arturo Meriño. Visitamos donde se originó la batalla de boyacana, pero solo la vimos sobre la carretera, me hubiera gustado descender hasta el sitio para tomarle fotos bien. De ahí nos fuimos a villa de Leyva fue muy ilustrativo pasar al museo y al de antropología. Por último visitamos raquira y comimos ahí en un restaurante local. El guía en todo momento estuvo atento de nosotros y nos explicaba el itinerario y los horarios para poder avanzar de acuerdo a tiempo.
