Bogotá Coffee Farm Trip
Bogotá Coffee Farm Trip
We'll meet at 8:30 am at The Cranky Croc Hostel and hop on the bus that will take us to the mountains of Bogotá. On the way, we'll enjoy views of the Choachí district until we arrive at our destination: an organic coffee farm! After about an hour-and-a-half-long bus ride, we'll arrive at the plantation where the farmers will tell us about their daily work and explain how the coffee beans are harvested.
Then, we'll enjoy a traditional Colombian breakfast made for us by the farmers before we get to work! We'll help the farmers pick ripe coffee beans from the over 8,000 coffee plants on the farm. Afterward, we'll learn about the next part of the process as we put them through a machine to clean them, select them, and finally taste a delicious cup of coffee!
Before going back to Bogotá, we'll stop, to enjoy a homemade lunch and make one more stop at at the moors so you can take some impressive pictures of the perfect view. Then we'll drop you off at the starting point between 5 to 6 pm
