Are you a cocoa lover? Then you can't miss this Bogota chocolate workshop, where you'll learn how to make your own chocolates and taste other sweet local products.
Bogota Chocolate Workshop
Colombian cocoa is considered one of the best in the world, so this food experience in Bogotá is a must for chocolate lovers.
We'll meet at 4 pm at The Cranky Croc Hostel, and from there we'll take a walk to a central location in the Colombian capital to enjoy a delicious chocolate workshop. Once there, we'll taste chocolates from five regions of Colombia - a real treat for the palate! Each bar will have different percentages of cocoa, from the purest dark chocolate to other softer blends with milk.
The workshop will teach us about all the stages of the chocolate-making process. We'll also discover which tropical fruits go well with each type of Colombian cocoa. After this tasting, each person will choose the chocolates from the tasting that they liked the most and we'll learn how to make different creations with them. You'll take home a box with three chocolates made by yourselves.
We'll put the sweetest finishing touch of all with a typical Colombian cake. You can choose between almojábana, carimañola, pandebono, puff pastry, empanadas or mantecada. You can also opt for an arepa, choosing between three different varieties: boyacense, santandereana or the classic one made with corn, aniseed and cheese.
The experience will end at 5:30 pm in the same place where the workshop will take place. If you wish, we can accompany you to the meeting point.
