Ephesus Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Bodrum at the indicated time and head to Ephesus. On the way, we'll make a stop for breakfast.
Once we arrive at our destination, we'll start a guided tour of this Greco-Roman city on the shores of the Aegean Sea. We'll admire the facade of the Library of Celsus, an impressive construction built with columns and statues such as those of Eros, Nike, and Medusa. Did you know that it once housed 12,000 scrolls?
Here, we'll also learn the most interesting facts about the Great Theater, the fountain of Trajan, the Odeon, and the Temple of Hadrian, where we'll discover invaluable friezes depicting different mythological tales.
Afterward, we'll visit the ruins of what was once the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It still preserves one of the 127 Ionic columns that supported this beautiful sanctuary. After the tour, we'll head to a local restaurant to enjoy a buffet lunch consisting of a variety of salads, traditional dishes, and desserts.
After lunch, we'll travel to a traditional jewelry shop to witness the craftsmanship of Turkish goldsmiths.
