Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Hotel Radisson Blu in Bodø. From there, we'll board a minibus, and within 30 minutes, we'll arrive at Straumen Strait, where the electric bikes await. Ready to embark on a cycling adventure?
Our cycling route will span approximately two hours with a clear goal: to witness wild moose inhabiting the island of Straumøya. Observing these creatures in their natural habitat promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Like a bike safari, our journey will take us through the island's forests, offering breathtaking views of the Saltfjorden fjord as we seek out wild moose. Along the way, we'll make several stops, and at any point, you can refuel with included snacks and a hot drink.
Are moose truly solitary creatures, avoiding herd life? How frequently do they shed and renew their antlers? What dangers do these magnificent animals face? Join us on our Straumøya cycling adventure, where we'll unravel the answers to these questions, ensuring an educational experience that keeps your curiosity piqued throughout the journey!
Finally, we'll leave the bicycles, and after four hours of hiking, we'll return to the starting point.
