Description
We'll meet at the indicated time at the Bodø Tourist Information Point before taking a minibus to the Åselidalen Valley. Ready for a spectacular trekking adventure?
As we arrive, we'll observe the Børvasstindane Mountains from afar. These iconic peaks predate Bodø's "Hidden Valley". We'll then walk through the Åselidalen Valley, which was carved out by glaciers millions of years ago. With the help of our guide, we'll uncover the secrets of these mountains, all of which are higher than 1000 metres (3281 feet).
We'll trek through lakes as well as winding and irregular paths on our journey, but rest easy in the knowledge that our day trip can be enjoyed by people of all fitness levels and that we'll be making a number of stops in order to take in the breathtaking views and ensure that your experience is as pleasant as possible.
Another highlight of the trekking route is the visit to Saltstraumen, the Norwegian Sea straits that separate the Straumen and Straumøya islands.
After our tour, we'll return to our original meeting point, rounding off our journey 7 hours later.
