On this trip to Isla Escudo de Veraguas, you can spend 1 or 2 days in this hidden treasure in the Panamanian Caribbean. Welcome to a true paradise!

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Bocas del Toro - Isla Escudo de Veraguas

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the port of Isla Colón to begin our trip to Isla Escudo de Veraguas. To do so, we'll board a boat in Bocas del Toro and sail along the Caribbean Sea for 3 hours.

On the way, we'll make a stop at a pristine beach in the area so you can take a dip. On arrival at Isla Escudo de Veraguas, we'll get off the boat and take a scenic tour to discover the island's biodiversity. You'll fall in love with its landscapes from the very first moment!

This hidden treasure of Panama is considered the natural habitat of the Pygmy 3-toed sloth, a species in danger of extinction. It's also home to the strawberry poison-dart frog. We'll keep an eye out for these and other species throughout the route.

Afterwards, we'll stop at a beach so you can go snorkelling and discover the seabed of the Panamanian Caribbean. Make the most of this swim in crystal-clear waters! In this paradisiacal corner of paradise, you'll have some free time for lunch.

After lunch, we'll head to the community of Río Caña, where we'll reveal the most deeply-rooted traditions of the local people of Isla Escudo. Half an hour later, we'll return to the boat to travel to the huts where we'll rest until the next day.

Day 2: Isla Escudo de Veraguas - Bocas del Toro

First thing in the morning, we'll have breakfast and attend a traditional dance show. What a way to start the day!

Afterwards, we'll see how the local people work the materials they extract from nature to make the most interesting artisan products. Will you be able to resist buying a piece? We'll then leave the village and return to the boat for the return trip to Bocas del Toro.

Before arriving, we'll stop at Isla Tiburón for a delicious typical lunch. You'll also have some free time to take a dip in this paradisiacal enclave.

Finally, we'll say goodbye at the starting point at around 3 pm and say our goodbyes.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's full board accommodation in a traditional hut on Isla Escudo de Veraguas.
