Alvarado and Tlacotalpan Trip
Alvarado and Tlacotalpan Trip
At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Boca del Rio before heading south to the coastal town of Alvarado.
This charming community is located at the mouth of the Blanco and Papaloapan rivers, where it developed its main industry, fishing. We will stroll through the streets and the guide will tell you all about the fascinating history of Pedro de Alvarado, founder of the city.
We then head to the Papaloapan River to enjoy a boat ride. During the trip, you will enjoy the lush green landscapes that rise up on the banks of the river.
When the boat ride has finished, we will go to the city of Tlacotalpan, which is the perfect fusion of the Caribbean and Spanish culture. We will take a guided tour to discover the emblematic places of the city, like the Church of the Virgin of the Candelaria and the House-Museum of the musician and poet, Agustín Lara.
After the visit, you will have approximately two hours of your own free time for lunch. You will have the chance to savor the delicious gastronomy of Tlacotalpan in one of its local restaurants.
After lunch, we will get into the vehicle again and take you back to your hotel in Boca del Rio, arriving at around 6 pm.
