Abra de Canasi Hike + Snorkelling
Abra de Canasi Hike + Snorkelling
At 9:15 am we'll meet at Abra de Canasí, located next to the town of Boca de Canasí, to embark on an exciting trekking route through this natural reserve in the north of Cuba. Let's go!
First we'll meet a family of fishermen who'll welcome us with a breakfast consisting of coffee, toast and fruit to delight us along the way. Afterwards, we'll cross the Canasí River on foot to reach a trail where we'll prepare for a 30 minute expedition. During the walk we'll enjoy a dense forest of coves, palms, seedlings and yagrumas.
At the end of the route we'll arrive at a place known as La Cazuela, where we'll have magnificent views of the Atlantic. Take out your cameras to immortalize this beautiful postcard of crystal clear waters. Afterwards, we'll put on our snorkelling equipment to explore this paradise and you'll be able to dive into the sea like professional divers. Underwater we'll enjoy watching tropical fish, turtles and colourful elkhorn corals.
Time for lunch! We'll stop in the middle of the forest to recover with a light lunch composed of a sandwich, an appetizer, fruit and water. With our batteries recharged, we'll be ready to walk back to the meeting point, where we'll conclude the experience at 3 pm.
