Tour Details
Day 1: Arrival at Boa Vista
We'll pick you up upon your arrival at Boa Vista International Airport and, from there, we'll bring you to the hotel in the capital of Roraima where we'll spend the first night.
Once we're settled in, you'll have the rest of the day free to explore the city or rest up for the following day, when we'll start our adventure of one of the most surprising places in South America. See you tomorrow!
Day 2: Boa Vista - Santa Elena de Uairén
After enjoying breakfast, we'll meet up to get to know each other better and talk about safety rules and the trekking route we'll be taking across Mount Roraima.
In the afternoon, we'll have lunch and, feeling refuelled, we'll begin a 3-hour journey along the BR174 highway. When we arrive at the border crossing with Venezuela, we'll complete customs formalities and continue our journey towards the town of Santa Elena de Uairén, in Bolívar, Venezuela.
We'll arrive at the hotel and, once we're checked in, you'll have the rest of the day free to rest. In the evening, we'll enjoy dinner and say our goodbyes until the next day.
Day 3: Santa Elena de Uairén – Paraitepuy- Mount Roraima
Good morning! After enjoying breakfast, we'll set off on our journey to our exciting destination: Mount Roraima. During a 1 hour and 45 minute-journey, we'll cross the amazing landscapes of the Gran Sabana until we reach the community of Paraitepuy.
Ready for the start of the trekking route? With our shoes laced up, we'll start walking to the campsites on the banks of the Tek and Kukenan rivers. This 15-kilometre (9.3-mile) stretch will be the best welcome to Mount Roraima.
Once we arrive, we'll prepare the tents in an area guarded by the Roraima wall. Afterwards, when everything is ready, we'll enjoy lunch and rest. You'll have the rest of the day free to make the most of this natural site.
Day 4: Mount Roraima
After breakfast at the campsite, we'll get ready to continue the trekking route. This time, we'll cover a distance of 8.5 kilometres (5.2 miles) that will bring us closer and closer to the majestic Mount Roraima.
During the hike, we'll make several stops and enjoy lunch to refuel. It will be well-deserved! After our break, we'll arrive at our destination of the day to set ourselves up at the campsite, where we'll get ready for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Mount Roraima
Ready to start trekking up Mount Roraima? After breakfast, we'll be filled with excitement as we take the first step on the path that will lead us to the summit. This will undoubtedly be the most special part of our adventure, as we'll cross landscapes that herald our arrival at one of the highest points.
In this section, which is 24 kilometres (14.9 miles) long, we'll find places as outstanding as the Paso das Lágrimas waterfall. As we approach the summit, we'll be guarded by the great Makunaima monument.
Upon arrival, we'll be greeted by the so-called Guardians of the Mountain, three huge stone blocks. There, with the overwhelming views of the region, we'll admire the wall of the mountain, which is completely vertical. Did you know that it is the highest point of the Pacaraima Mountains? And that it is sacred to the ancestral culture of the area?
We'll finish this unforgettable day at the camp, where we'll have dinner and rest to be fresh for the next day.
Day 6: Mount Roraima – Valle de los Cristales – La Fosa
After breakfast, we'll start our hike towards the iconic Valle de los Cristales. There, we'll learn about the relationship between the nature of Mount Roraima and the cosmic energies—you'll be intrigued!
Next, we'll continue the trekking route until we reach the border milestone between Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. From there, we'll head towards La Fosa, a frozen lagoon surrounded by peculiar rock formations. Don't forget your camera!
Finally, we'll return to camp for dinner and be ready to continue the next day.
Day 7: Mount Roraima – Maverick Rock – Paso de los Cristales
We'll start the day with breakfast and, once we're ready, we'll start the day's hike to Mount Kukenan, where we'll visit the natural hot springs of the region and the Mirador La Ventana. At this last point, we'll admire the majesty of Kukenan or the Father of the Winds, as the locals call it.
Afterwards, we'll head to Maverick Rock, the highest point of Mount Roraima, reaching 2810 metres (9,219 ft) above sea level! Here, we'll be able to admire an unbeatable panoramic view of the Gran Sabana. Afterwards, we'll visit the Salto Catedral and the Paso de los Cristales, the perfect place to refuel and start our way back to the camp.
Upon arrival at the camp, we'll enjoy a well-deserved dinner and rest.
Day 8: Mount Roraima
After breakfast, we'll pack up camp and set off on the 24-kilometre (14.9-mile) downhill trek to base camp. During the trek, we'll make several stops to rest and enjoy refreshments.
Upon arrival, we'll settle in to enjoy dinner and rest.
Day 9: Mount Roraima – Paraitepuy – Santa Elena de Uairén - Boa Vista
Ready for the last stage of the trekking tour? After breakfast, we'll get ready to start the 15 kilometre (9.3-mile) trek to the community of Paraitepuy. Once we arrive, we'll get into the vehicles that will take us to Santa Elena de Uairén.
We'll arrive at the border with Brazil and, after completing the customs formalities, we'll change vehicles and start the road trip to Boa Vista. Arriving at the hotel in the city at the end of the day, you'll have a good night's rest!
Day 10: Boa Vista
After getting yourself some breakfast, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Boa Vista at 10 am to take you to Boa Vista International Airport in time to catch your flight home.

Return Flight
Please keep in mind that the transfer time from the hotel to the airport is about 15 minutes long. Therefore, we recommend that your return flight departs after 12:30 pm.
