Description
At the designated time, our meeting point will be the puppy floral sculpture at the Guggenheim Museum, marking the starting point for our journey north from Bilbao.
Our initial destination is the stunning Punta Galea viewpoint, where we'll get breathtaking views of the Bizkaia coast—an unforgettable sight!
Subsequently, we'll navigate through Getxo along the right bank of the river, beginning our exploration in the picturesque Las Arenas neighborhood. Passing by the renowned Lezama-Leguizamón Palace, we'll proceed to the Old Port of Algorta.
Continuing our journey, we'll traverse the Bizkaia Suspension Bridge from Getxo, delving into its history with the assistance of an audio guide—an iconic feature of the city!
Our next stop unfolds in Portugalete, situated on the left bank of the Nervion estuary. A brief exploration of its picturesque streets, intersected by the Camino de Santiago (St. James' Way), precedes our visit to the Hanging Bridge of Bizkaia. This footbridge, recognized as a World Heritage Site, was constructed in the late 19th century to connect both estuary banks.
The return journey to Bilbao concludes our adventure, with an estimated arrival at the meeting point four hours after the initial pickup.
