The Biscay capital is home to incredible avant-garde architecture. Get to know the stories surrounding the city of Bilbao on this guided walking tour.
Description
Your free walking tour of modern Bilbao will begin in front of Concordia station (estación de la Concordia). From this point, we'll start exploring the streets of this Basque city to learn about its history and many of its monuments.
We'll first walk along the Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro, one of the main thoroughfares of the Biscayan capital, and we'll head towards Plaza Moyúa, where we'll appreciate the exterior architecture of the Chávarri palace and the Carlton hotel.
During the free tour, we'll also visit the small square of San José and the Euskadi square, where we'll have to look up to the sky to admire the Iberdrola Tower. Nearby, we'll also see the Fine Arts Museum and the University Library of Deusto.
Of course, we'll approach the Salve Bridge, a place that will offer us magnificent views of the Bilbao river delta. Get your cameras ready!
After two and a half hours of sightseeing, we'll end this free tour outside one of the most iconic landmarks in modern Bilbao - the famous museum of Guggenheim.
