We had a perfect night of “pinchos” and tasty beverages including 3 wines, a hard cider and a cocktail all typical of the region. Our guide, Andre, was a warm and welcoming host. He answered all of our questions and gave us a good idea of the local culture particularly related to the bar scene. He was very caring and made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves at their own pace. Andre definitely made Bilbao come alive for our group.

Heading to Bilbao and haven't tried their famous pinchos? With this tour you'll taste the most typical gastronomy of the Basque Country while visiting some of the most important bars in the city.

Bilbao Food Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time in front of the Palacio de la Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, to start our gastronomic route through Bilbao.

We'll explore Bilbao by foot while learning about this interesting city from our guide, who'll take us from bar to bar. We'll visit between 5 and 7 bars, where we'll be able to taste up to 8 pinchos and 5 drinks, allowing us to get a real sense of the traditional cuisine.

We'll explore the streets of Bilbao as part of our gastronomic tour and taste the traditional Basque tapas, the 'pintxos', discovering the origins of this authentic delicacy.

Having tasted this quintessential Basque cuisine, we'll return to the starting point, finishing the tour approximately after three hours of tasting.

The pinxtos tour was absolutely brilliant with Adria - he was entertaining and well informed about the food, the Basque culture, history of the area, the history of the city. He ensured that everyone was included, all dietary needs were met and that those joining the cruise ship (not us) got to a souvenir shop and back to their pickup on time. Highly recommended for first time visitors to Bilbao.
