On this private tour of Biarritz, we'll enjoy the elegance of the historic centre and the Belle Époque architecture from the roaring twenties, accompanied by an English–speaking guide.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Town Hall before making our way to the Casino Barrière, one of the finest examples of the elegance and luxury that has long characterised Biarritz - a favourite holiday destination of European aristocracy for centuries.
We'll first see the building that once housed the workshops of world-renowned couturier Coco Chanel. We'll then stroll along the lively promenade of the Grand Plage de Biarritz, from there we'll be able to see the Hôtel du Palais.
Continuing along the promenade, we'll enjoy the stunning view from the Roca del Basta and see from afar the Saint Eugénie church, erected in homage to Eugénie de Montijo.
Our next stop will be the Fishermen's Harbour, from which point we'll head to the Atalaya plateau, where we'll learn a little bit about whaling - an industry which has strong ties to the history of Biarritz, and even made this town famous in the Middle Ages.
We'll continue on until we reach Rocher de la Vierge - one of the most picturesque locations in all of Biarritz.
The private tour of Biarritz will end at the Aquarium, where we'll enjoy a lovely view of the beach after 2 hours of activity.
