Upon arrival. we'll make a stop at the Panorama LUTHER 1517, which depicts the Protestant Reform. It's a piece of work formed by real-dimension photographs that narrate the achievements of the work of Martin Luther.
With this historical context, we'll head to Lutherhaus and the Augusteum monastery. Martin Luther and his family lived in the first, while the second was a protestant library and meeting room. Did you know that it was also called the black monastery? Find out why!
We'll continue our tour of Wittenberg by visiting the Melanchthon House. Here, we'll learn about the work of Phillipe Melanchthon, the illustrious theologist who worked hand in hand with Luther. Then, we'll head to Market Square, where we'll find the city hall and a statue of Luther.
Here, we'll also admire the outside of All Saint's Church, where the Ninety-five Theses of Martin Luther are inscribed on a door. This was a momentous event that officially marked the beginning of the Reformation. After this stop, you'll have 1.5 hours free to explore Wittenberg at your leisure.
