Spree Forest Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Spandauer Str. 9, in the Marx-Engels Forum park in Berlin. Here, we'll hop onto a minibus that will bring us to the Spree Forest, a Biosphere Reserve just an hour away from Berlin.
Known in German as Spreewald, this natural site is formed by numerous forests, villas and meadows separated by the canals that form the Spree River. A postcard-worthy landscape!
We'll arrive at the village of Lübbenau, where we'll board a boat that will bring us on a cruise through the waters within the Spree Forest. The ride will last a total of 2 hours.
During the boat trip, we'll make a stop in the village of Lehde, where you'll have 45 minutes of free time. There, you'll be able to explore the culture of the Sorbs, a West Slavic group of people living in this area. On the way back to Lübbenau, we'll take a walk through the historic centre of the town. During this visit, you'll be accompanied by an audio guide which will reveal the secrets of all its monumental attractions.
Afterwards, you'll have free time to continue exploring Lübbenau or to grab a bite to eat in a restaurant.
Finally, we'll return to Berlin and say our goodbyes at the starting point after 8 hours in total.
