On this day trip to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen, we'll visit these two historic must-see places in Germany in one day, unmissable if you're in Berlin!
Day Trip to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at the Brunnen der Völkerfreundschaft fountain in the middle of Alexanderplatz. There, we'll board a bus and set off on our must-see excursion from Berlin.
First, we'll go on a panoramic tour of the most important monuments of the German capital. Then we'll head over to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
Once there, we'll take a guided tour to learn about the history of the German concentration camps during Nazi rule. We'll see the courtyards, barracks, and cells, and we'll learn how the work was distributed and what punishments were inflicted on the prisoners.
After visiting Sachsenhausen we'll head to Potsdam, a World Heritage Site. From this point on, it's up to you what to do! We can leave you an hour and a half of free time in the town or you can join us on a guided tour of Sanssouci Palace.
Finally, we'll return to Berlin and arrive back at the starting point after a total of 7 hours.
