Description
The Berlin Big Bus tourist bus runs two different routes:
- Red Line: this 17-stop route through the center of Berlin takes 2 hours. The route departs from Ku'Damm and stops at emblematic places such as Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate, & the Reichstag.
- Blue Line: this is a 4-stop route through the east of Berlin. During this 40-minute ride, it makes stops at points such as Alexanderplatz square or East Side Gallery.

Big Bus ticket types
When making your reservation, you can choose one of the following types of tickets:
- 24-hour ticket: includes unlimited use of Big Bus Berlin buses for 24 hours on both routes.
- 48-hour ticket: includes unlimited use of the Big Bus Berlin for 48 hours on both routes, a tasting of a typical German Currywurst sausage, and a walking tour of Berlin in English.
The typical German Currywurst sausage (only included in the 48-hour ticket) is available from Monday to Sunday at the Curry Wolf locations at Rankestrasse 36 (stop 1) and Unter den Linden (stops 12 and 13).
The Berlin walking tour (only included in the 48-hour ticket) is a 1.5-hour tour that will guide you through the history of Germany's capital, from the beginning of the Third Reich and World War II to the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
This guided tour runs daily at 2 pm (this time may vary), starting at the Brandenburg Gate (stop 13) and ending at Checkpoint Charlie (stop 6).
Schedules and frequencies
- Red route: from 10 am to 4 pm every 20-30 minutes
- Blue route: from 10:15 am to 4:15 pm every 60 minutes
These schedules are subject to change and may vary slightly.
Boat Trip
When booking, you can choose the ticket option that also includes a boat trip on the Spree River. The trip lasts 1 hour and starts at stop 2 on line 1 (Museum Island).
The tour, which includes a guide, only runs between March and November. Departure times are 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:45 pm, and 5:15 pm (the latter is only available between March 29 and November 3).
How does the Berlin sightseeing bus work?
The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 consecutive hours from when it's first used. You can get on and off the buses as many times as you wish during this time. Although a start date is requested when booking, you'll be able to begin using your ticket at any time within 6 months of the date you choose.
