Bergen Guided Walking Tour
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the National Theatre and from there we'll begin this guided tour of Bergen. Let's go!
Firstly, we'll make our way to the Torgallmeningen Central Square, the city's main street and shopping hub, where we'll see the many shops that line this popular spot.
We'll continue our tour at the Fish Market. Here, we'll admire the Nordic architecture, typical of these countries, where the houses are painted in a myriad of different eye-catching colours.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Bryggen neighbourhood, a World Heritage-listed city due to its historic cities. Did you know that it once served as the headquarters for the Hanseatic League? Incredible!
We'll also visit the Bergenhus Fortress, one of the best-conserved castles in the country, a former royal residence, and St. Mary's Church. This church is the oldest building in Bergen and boasts a precious golden altarpiece.
Finally, we'll return to the Fish Market, where we'll say our goodbyes after 2 hours together.
