In this activity we'll visit a wine estate, take part in the grape harvest, taste their wines and have a delicious typical Italian lunch, not to be missed!
Visit to a Wine Estate with Lunch
At 9 am we'll meet at Bento Gonçalves train station, where the bus will be waiting for us to take us to a beautiful family-run wine estate in the region.
Once there, we will see how the grape harvest is carried out and you will be able to participate in its different phases. First we will pick the grapes and, to replenish our energy, we will have a typical Italian aperitif, the 'merendim'. We'll enjout our food accompanied by the beautiful voices of the old women of the region, who'll sing traditional melodies - it'll be like travelling back to the time of Italian immigration!
After the break, it's time to tread the grapes. We'll use the ancient method of extracting the grape juice by treading the grapes with the soles of your feet - you will have the time of your life!
As a reward for a job well done, we will offer you a delicious lunch including typical Italian dishes. And, to top it all off, we'll have a tasting of wines, champagne and chocolates, as well as a tour of the estate's facilities.
Finally, we will return to the starting point, where the tour will end at 4 pm.
