At 9 am, we'll meet at the train station, where we'll start this experience and immerse ourselves in the customs of Bento Gonçalves. Did you know that it's known as the Brazilian wine capital?
The tour will begin with a ride on the Maria Fumaça train, also known as the wine train. On this historic railroad, we'll journey through the landscapes of the Serra Gaucha while passing through scenic villages such as Carlos Barbosa or Garibaldi and tasting the wines, champagnes, and grape juices of the region. And to top it all off, the stops will be enlivened with live music shows.
Our next destination will be the Epopeia Italiana theme park, where we'll learn many details about the traditions left by Italian immigrants. Afterward, we'll head to a family-owned wine estate - we're in for a big surprise!
We'll join in the grape harvest, picking the grapes directly from the vines. Then, we'll tread the grapes, one of the methods of juice extraction inherited from the Italian winemaking tradition. This is such a meaningful moment that it's almost like a celebration - you'll see for yourself as the locals chee the grape treader.
After this incredible experience at the wine estate, we'll enjoy a traditional Italian appetizer, the merendim. This moment will also be enlivened with traditional music.
The experience will conclude as we return to Bento Gonçalves station, arriving at around 4 pm.
