Bento Gonçalves Italian Immigration Tour
Bento Gonçalves Italian Immigration Tour
At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Bento Gonçalves to start this tour, where we'll learn about the culture and traditions of the Italians who emigrated to Brazil by walking along the historic Caminho de Pedra.
Bento Gonçalves is an authentic open-air museum that recreates the village's past and tries to preserve the traditions of the Italian immigrants. We'll start discovering its cuisine at the Casa do Tomate, a typical Italian settlers' house that houses a tomato producer. Here we'll learn about the derivatives of this food so popular in Italian cuisine.
And how can we talk about Italy without mentioning its pasta? We'll visit the Casa das Massas e do Artesanato, a handmade pasta factory that makes tortellini, capelettis, and even biscuits. It's enough to make your mouth water!
Did you know the Italians also left their mark on the Brazilian textile industry? To get to know it, we'll enter the Casa de Tecelagem and Malhas G'Dom shops. Afterwards, we'll continue to get to know Italian culture through another of its most popular elements: wine. We'll visit the Michele Carraro, Salvatti, and Aurora wine estates, and we'll enjoy a tasting of their wines.
At midday, we'll stop for an Italian lunch, including typical dishes such as pasta, risotto, chicken, or polenta.
We'll conclude the tour by returning to your hotel, where we'll drop you off at 4:30 pm.

The tour includes pickup from hotels located in the cente rof Bento Gonçalves. If your hotel is located in other areas of the city, we'll contact you to arrange an alternative pickup point.
