We'll start exploring the grounds of the Colomares Castle Monument by admiring its extravagant facade. The building, which was built in 1987, is full of decorative elements that pay homage to the first journey to America.
Throughout the tour, we'll reveal how Christopher Columbus' famous expedition was funded by the Catholic Monarchs and the importance of Andalusia in this adventure.
The Colomares Castle will show us the different stages of the history of the Discovery of the Americas, from stones that replicate the ships that accompanied Columbus to the La Rádiba Friary arch, which recalls where he stayed in Palos de la Frontera.
