4-hour tour
We'll start this private tour of Belo Horizonte visiting one of the highlights of the capital of Minas Gerais. This is the Lagoa da Pampulha, a complex designed by the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. In this open-air space we'll see the avant-garde design of the Casa do Baile, the Museum of Modern Art and the Mineirão football stadium.
The route will continue in the squares of Liberty and Governor Israel Pinheiro. Did you know that this last esplanade is known as "the Pope's square"? After discovering the reason, we'll walk along the Afonso Pena Avenue to contemplate such outstanding buildings as the Palace of Arts or the Conservatory of Music.
The last stop will be at the Central Market of Belo Horizonte, which dates back to 1929.
Departure times: Monday to Saturday at 8 am.
10-hour tour
If you choose this option, we'll begin our private tour of Belo Horizonte by observing the buildings designed by Oscar Niemeyer at Lagoa da Pampulha. Among them stands out the church of St. Francis of Assisi, which is sure to surprise you with its unique architecture.
After visiting the Lagoa da Pampulha area, we'll drive to the historic center of Belo Horizonte, where you'll have an hour free for lunch. After lunch, we'll visit the Cultural Circuit of Liberty Square. There we'll discover how former public buildings have been transformed into interactive spaces that seek to reflect the diversity of Brazil.
Next, we'll head to Pope's Square and take a tour of Afonso Pena Avenue, which will be much more extensive than the 4-hour tour itinerary. Finally, we'll go to the Central Market of Belo Horizonte and, after visiting the different stalls, we'll take you back to your hotel.
Departure times: Monday to Sunday at 7:30 am.
