Belo Horizonte Markets Tour
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Central Market, located right in the middle of the city. Welcome to one of the most atmospheric spots in Belo Horizonte!
Extending to 14,000 metres squared this space is home to more than 400 stalls and is considered to be the third largest market in the world, just falling behind Barcalena's La Boquería and London's Borough Market–this is a privileged spot to be able to visit!
Upon entering, we'll enjoy a welcoming coffee and then begin walking along the aisles that wind through the vibrant stalls. For 2 hours, we'll stroll around surrounded by local products such as handicrafts, spices, meats and typical dishes. We'll also pass by its famous bars and restaurants. You won't be able to stop yourself from buying something special!
As we explore every part of the market, we'll make a stop to learn about the vendors and hear about the daily life at the market. Of course, we'll use our visit to try some delicious cheese, wine and an authentic Belo Horizonte cachaça.
We'll then continue the tour at the Belo Horizonte New Market, popularly known as the Old New Market. Located in the city centre, it's the perfect complement to the Central Market. Here, we'll uncover unique stores with artistic pieces full of mysticism.
Here, we'll make our way to the art gallery and delight in a Pastel de Angú accompanied by a lemonade or a caipirinha. Cheers!
After a total of 4 hours, we'll return to the meeting point and say our goodbyes.
