Inhotim Institute Tour
Inhotim Institute Tour
From your hotel in Belo Horizonte, where we'll pick you up between 7:30 and 8:30 am, we'll leave for Brumadinho. In this town, located 60 kilometres away, you'll find the Inhotim Institute: one of the main Brazilian museums of contemporary art.
The Inhotim Institute is also one of the great cultural references of the state of Minas Gerais. Upon arrival at this complex, one of the largest open-air museums in the world, we'll take a guided tour of this spectacular site that combines culture and nature.
On our tour of the Inhotim Institute we'll see the creations of more than 60 artists from a total of 40 countries. Among the main works in the permanent collection are works by Hélio Oiticica, Yayoi Kusama and Cildo Meireles.
We'll continue our tour of this open-air museum by visiting its famous Botanical Garden, which has some of the rarest species of flora in the world. Can you guess which ones? For now, we can only reveal that the garden is home to more than 4,000 different plants.
After the tour of the Inhotim Institute, you'll have an hour free for lunch in the museum's restaurant. You can also take the opportunity to take a closer look at the works you liked the most.
Finally, from the Inhotim Institute we'll return to Belo Horizonte to arrive at your hotel at 6:30 pm.
