A lot of history and a great artistic and cultural heritage - welcome to the capital of Serbia! If you don't know where to start discovering this fascinating city, meet us at Republic Square at the indicated time to join our free tour of Belgrade.
To begin with, we'll unveil the secrets hidden in this square, where we'll see the façade of the Theatre and the National Museum of Serbia and discover the history of the Prince Mihailo Monument, one of the emblems of Belgrade.
We'll continue our tour into the bohemian quarter of Skadarlija, where we'll find a lot of taverns, the ideal place to get to know the national gastronomy. Afterwards, we'll continue our journey through Belgrade's past by approaching the Museum of the Serbian Language, located in the oldest residential house in the city.
Nearby is the only mosque in the capital, Bajrakli Mosque, which houses the tomb of Sheikh Mustafa. At this stop, we'll learn all about the traces of Turkish rule in Belgrade. Afterwards, we'll walk to Kalemegdan Park, where we'll see the Pobednik Column, another symbol of Belgrade.
Next, we'll continue the free tour by exploring one of the most amazing places in the city, the Belgrade Fortress. This imposing bastion has a privileged location at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers and hides great stories, both warlike and romantic. You'll be amazed!
Finally, we'll go to St. Michael's Cathedral, the centre of Orthodox worship in Serbia, and stroll along Knez Mihailo Street, one of the most popular streets in the city.
After a 2 to 3-hour free tour, we'll end the activity in the Students' Park.
