Belgrade Electric Scooter Tour
Description
Do you fancy learning about the architectural peculiarities of communist Belgrade? At 11 am, we'll meet on Maršala Birjuzova and begin this electric scooter tour during which Tito's Yugoslavia and the Brutalist movement will take centre stage.
We'll travel back in time to discover what this former age during the Second World War in Belgrade was like, a time in which the Serbian capital was part of Yugoslavia, under the command of Josip Broz Tito. As we zip around on our scooter, we'll recount the history of the time, as well as the influence this political movement had on the city's architecture.
For this, we'll divulge the peculiarities of the brutalist style in Belgrade, an architectural style characterised by the use of concrete, industrial materials and rigid shapes.
The Genex Tower, the SIV 3 building, the Belgrade Police Station, the Serbian Palace and the Contemporary Art Museum are just some of the locations we'll stop at during this electric scooter tour.
After 4 hours exploring and learning about the communist architecture in Belgrade, we'll return to the starting point where the tour will be brought to an end.
