Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Belgrade to begin this day trip to Novi Sad. Are you ready to be enchanted by the capital of the Vojvodina region? Let's go!
After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll reach our destination, where we'll go on a guided tour of the most iconic sites of this charming Serbian city.
First, we'll ascend the Petrovaradin Fortress, one of the most important bastions in the history of the House of Habsburg dynasty. Its elevated position overlooking the Danube River makes it a perfect place to enjoy the city's spectacular scenic views.
Afterward, we'll head to Danube Park, where we'll go on a lovely stroll among its trails until we reach the lake in the center. From here, we'll continue toward the Bishop's Palace, one of the most beautiful monuments in Novi Sad, a Serbian-Byzantine-style building with influence from the medieval monasteries.
Continuing our tour, we'll pass by Saint George's Cathedral, the main Orthodox church in Novi Sad, before arriving at one of the most famous sculptures by the Croatian sculptor and architect Ivan Meštrović: the Monument of Svetozar Miletić, the former mayor of Novi Sad.
Next, we'll visit the Name of Mary Church, a Catholic parish church with a Neo-Gothic design that replaced an earlier building damaged during the 1848 Revolution. You'll soon find out why! After admiring this church, we'll pass by the City Hall, the National Serbian Theatre, and the Novi Sad Synagogue, which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century.
Of course, if you're feeling hungry, you'll have approximately an hour of free time to grab a bite to eat and try a dish of the local cuisine before the tour ends.
Finally, after discovering the history of Novi Sad, we'll say goodbye at the starting point about 6 to 7 hours after the start of the activity.
