Tripoli Tour
Tripoli Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Beirut and drive north along the Mediterranean.
After a 2-hour drive, we'll arrive in Tripoli, one of the oldest cities in Lebanon. Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour of the citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles. This imposing defensive complex, named after a famous crusader, was taken in the 19th century by the Ottomans. As we'll see, this event was a major influence on the fort's future.
Next, we'll take a tour of the souks of Tripoli, where we'll discover what the most popular products in Lebanon are. Then, we'll stop at the Al-Abd baths. Did you know that this place is home to one of the oldest hammams in Lebanon?
In this thermal center, you'll be able to relax for about an hour to invigorate your body and mind. Afterwards, we'll head to the port of Tripoli, where we'll stop at a restaurant overlooking the sea to enjoy a traditional Lebanese fish dish!
Following lunch, we'll head south to the nearby town of Batroun. Here, we'll make a brief stop to admire its ancient Phoenician walls and learn about its history.
Then, finally, we'll return to the Lebanese capital. Arrival at your hotel in Beirut is scheduled for 7 hours after pickup.
