Day Trip to Qadisha Valley & the Cedars of God Forest
Tour Highlights
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Beirut at the scheduled time to embark on a tour of the Qadisha Valley and the Cedars of God Forest. Get ready for a day immersed in nature and history!
Our adventure will begin in the Qadisha Valley, also known as the Holy Valley, which was designated a World Heritage Site in 1998. The valley's steep slopes and towering peaks have been a sanctuary for persecuted monks and hermits throughout history. Explore the caves and grottoes that housed different monasteries – a truly captivating experience!
Next up is the iconic Cedars of God Forest, one of Lebanon's most popular attractions. Delve into its rich history, basking in the fresh air and marveling at the majestic cedars, some of which have stood for thousands of years.
Our journey continues to Bisharri, the hometown of the celebrated Lebanese poet, painter, novelist, and essayist Khalil Gibran. We'll explore the Gibran Museum in the forest of Saint Sarkis, which is dedicated to his life and work. We'll witness the harmonious blend of culture, nature, and history as we visit ancient monasteries and a nearby Phoenician tomb.
After this cultural immersion, we'll stop for lunch in the area, a great opportunity to taste authentic Lebanese cuisine.
7 to 8 hours after the start, we'll return to your hotel in Beirut.
