Upon arrival, you'll have approximately an hour of free time to wander through the quaint streets of Gubei, soaking in the authentic charm of this historic town. Gubei offers a picturesque backdrop for admiring the Simatai section of the Great Wall, making it one of the best vantage points in the region.
While exploring Gubei, you'll also have the opportunity to take a leisurely boat ride along its tranquil canals, offering glimpses of the town's traditional architecture and scenic beauty. It's an experience you won't want to miss! Then, we'll make a stop at a local restaurant where you can enjoy a buffet-style lunch if you'd like!
Following lunch, we'll make our way to the Great Wall of China, where we'll ascend to the Simatai section via cable car. Renowned for its pristine preservation, Simatai offers a captivating glimpse into the majesty of this ancient marvel. Over the course of two hours, we'll traverse a significant portion of the wall, soaking in panoramic views and witnessing a breathtaking sunset.
As the day draws to a close, we'll descend from the Great Wall and return to our transportation for the journey back to Beijing. Anticipate arriving at your hotel in the Chinese capital approximately 12 to 14 hours after the initial pickup, concluding our unforgettable excursion.
