Great Wall of China Day Trip

At almost 5,600 miles (9,000 km) long, there are a number of parts to the Great Wall of China which you can visit. On this tour you can choose between three sections of the wall:

Badaling

This is the best restored and most touristic section of the wall. This means it tends to be extremely busy, and for that reason, it's perhaps not the ideal section to visit. But if you like the hustle and bustle, and would like to see the wall restored to all its former glory, this tour lasts for two hours.

Mutianyu

With stunning surroundings and fewer tourists, this is the most recommendable option for the majority of travellers. This area is also extremely well preserved and was once the northern barrier which protected the capital and the imperial burial sites it contains. This tour lasts almost 2 hours.

Simatai or Jinshanling

With steeper and little-restored sections, this is a tour for those who like things a little wilder, are in good shape and are looking for a tour which involves some physical activity, 'trekking' style. This tour lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours depending on which route you choose.

The Ming Tombs (Underground Palace)

If you decide to tour Badaling, on the way back to Beijing you'll be able to visit the Ming Tombs (The Underground Palace). Just ask your guide so he can plan the day's schedule.

Important

Although tickets are NOT included in the price, the supplier will buy them in advance to avoid long queues on the day of the tour.  To do so, you'll have to fill in the details requested at the time of booking: name, surname, passport and date of birth.

All the details must be correct and appear the same as in the passport or documentation so that there are no problems accessing the wall.

On the day of the tour you'll have to pay, in cash, the price of the tickets to your guide.

Layover in Beijing? Tour from the Airport!

We offer this tour with leaving from and returning to the airport, with a supplement of between $25 and $70 per group.
