Embark on a captivating journey from Beaune, where you'll unravel the hidden treasures of Burgundy's wine culture. Explore different vineyards and wineries scattered throughout this renowned region.

Description

Our journey begins at the designated time right in front of the Beaune Tourist Office. To kick things off, we'll head to a Burgundy winery located right in the heart of the city. Curious about Grand Cru Classé wines? Wondering about their origins? You'll find out as we indulge in a tasting featuring three remarkable white wines: Saint-Aubin, Meursault, and Corton-Charlemagne.

After the delightful wine tasting, you'll have an hour of free time to enjoy lunch on your own in Beaune's charming old town. Once reenergized, we'll regroup for an exciting minibus tour through the Grands Crus wine route in Burgundy.

Our captivating journey will lead us through the picturesque villages of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, where we'll pass by the renowned vineyards of the Clos Vougeot Château. As we continue along our route, we'll learn interesting facts about its historic cellars, dating all the way back to the 11th century. We'll also learn about the castle's strategic significance, as it hosted various meetings of the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin.

From Clos Vougeot, our travels take us to the charming village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, where we'll visit another traditional Burgundy winery. Dive into the age-old viticulture techniques passed down through generations. Become a true sommelier as we savor the flavors of Burgundy wines.

Then, you'll get some free time to grab a tasty local meal on your own if you wish, before our journey leads us back to Beaune. Finally, we'll be back at the Tourist Office after a total of 8 hours.
