Normandy Landings Motorcycle + Sidecar Tour
Normandy Landings Motorcycle +Sidecar Tour
June 6th, 1944, is a famous date in history, better known as D-Day. On this crucial day during World War II, the Normandy Landings took place. We'll leave from Bayeux via motorcycle and sidecar for a comprehensive tour through this historic site and the events that took place nearly 100 years ago. and became a crucial day in the history of World War II.
During the tour, our experienced guide will drive us by motorcycle as we navigate our route. The 2-seater motorcycle allows for our guide and another passenger to sit behind them, plus an additional passenger in the fun seat—the sidecar! With the wind in our hair, we'll be set to enjoy this historical tour through Normandy.
All geared up with helmets on, our first stop is at Arromanches, where we'll see part of Port Mulberry and other artificial ports constructed for incoming ally soldiers. From here, we'll continue on to Longues-sur-Mer, a small town home to a former defense arsenal and beautiful coastal views.
Once we've soaked up all the natural beauty and history here, we'll move on in our motorcycle to the charming village of Port-en-Basin. From this small town, we'll reach Omaha Beach, one of the principal landing sites on D-Day. The history at this site is palpable and offers a unique experience for visitors.
Right next to Omaha Beach is the American Cemetery of Normandy, a sacred space we'll visit to honor all those who gave their lives on this historic day and throughout World War II. As we pay our final respects, we'll move on to our final stop of the day: the Point du Hoc cliff.
Then, we'll motor on back to Bayeux, arriving 3.5 hours later and bringing our tour to an end.
