Saint Kitts Island Tour
Saint Kitts Island Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Basseterre and set off on a minibus tour of the island of St. Kitts. Ready to discover the history and the beautiful landscapes of this Caribbean jewel?
First, we'll visit the old town of Basseterre, a city founded by the French in the 17th century. We'll tell you about the most exciting chapters of its past while we visit emblematic places like Piccadilly Circus square or the Basseterre Co-Cathedral of Immaculate Conception.
Afterward, we'll border the western coast until we reach the village of Old Road Town. On a visit to the Caribelle Batik factory, we'll attend a workshop to learn about the tradition of fabric dyeing that goes back hundreds of years. You'll discover step by step how the garments are colored, stroll through the exotic gardens of this property and do some shopping - what's not to love?
Next stop... Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park! This British monument has been declared a World Heritage Site due to its great historical value. As we tour the complex, we'll explain how it was built by African slave labor and tell you of the battles between the English and the French that took place here.
We'll continue our tour of St. Kitts towards Dieppe Bay, at the northern tip of the island. You'll be struck by its steep black rocky coastline and the incredible views of Mount Liamuiga, the highest peak of the island.
After a three-and-a-half-hour drive around the island, the excursion will end back at your hotel.
