Santo Amaro 3 Day Hike
Day 1: Barreirinhas - Baixa Grande
On the first day, between 2:45 and 3:00 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Barreirinhas and take a ferry to the beautiful Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
Once we arrive at our destination, we will set off on an enjoyable hike to the picturesque village of Baixa Grande. We will trek for about 4 miles, admiring the lagoons of crystal water and endless sand dunes.
We arrive in Baixa Grande in the afternoon to meet a local family and spend the night.
Day 2: Baixa Grande - Queimada dos Britos
After a simple breakfast, we will pick up our backpacks and start hiking once more, heading through the dunes towards the idyllic oasis of Queimada dos Britos. This route will take us about five hours.
After a morning enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park we will arrive at Queimada dos Britos, where we will spend the night.
Day 3: Queimada dos Britos - Betânia - Santo Amaro
First thing in the morning, at 4 am, we will enjoy a tasty breakfast before starting a trek to the community of Betânia around seven hours away.
Just like the previous days, we will enjoy the stunning landscapes and swim in the lagoons of the park.
When we reach the end of the route, a 4x4 vehicle will be waiting for us to take you to the place in Santo Amaro that you want.
