Petrified Forest Private Trip
Petrified Forest Private Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Barreal in an all-terrain jeep. First we head to the romantic Calle de Los Enamorados avenue, where we'll see the wonderful monument to Cupid.
After paying tribute to the god of love, we'll continue by driving into the Tontal foothills. In this stunning area we'll drive along a dry riverbed of an extinct river in the 4x4. We'll arrive at the old bentonite mines, where inside we'll encounter amazing paleontological remains.
From there, we'll follow the route to the Petrified Forest, where we'll see a large group of fossilized ferns and trunks that date back thousands of years. You'll hear about the origins of this natural phenomenon while enjoying a delicious snack of traditional products.
Afterward, we'll continue exploring the mountains, caves, and slopes of the Petrified Forest. This is one of the most unique natural areas in the Argentine province of San Juan and the perfect place to practice landscape photography!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Barreal, arriving arrive three hours after we departed.
