Barranquilla Sightseeing Tour
Barranquilla Sightseeing Tour
Having picked you up from your hotel at your chosen time, we'll board our bus and set off on a 3-hour 30-minute tour of Barranquilla's main tourist attractions.
To begin, we'll enter the neighbourhood of El Prado, which is famous for its elegant, neoclassical houses. We'll learn about the history of this district, which was the first in the city to apply the principles of modern urban planning. Nearby, we'll find the Amira de la Rosa Theatre. This symbolic building was named after the creator of Barranquilla's anthem.
We'll then pass through the Plaza de la Aduana to head towards the historic centre of Barranquilla, where we'll see the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Museum of the Caribbean. The latter is the main building in the Caribbean Cultural Park, and its construction represented a major event for the Columbian people. Let's find out why!
The next place we'll see on our sightseeing tour will be the Cumbiódromo, which is where the famous Barranquilla Carnival is held. As you admire this building, we'll discuss the traditions that surround this important event.
Our bus will then take us past the city's key shopping areas before we take you back to your hotel and finish the tour.
