Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Day Trip
Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Day Trip
Having picked you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 5:30 am, we'll set off for the western part of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta.
During our visit to this beautiful place surrounding the municipality of Ciénaga, we'll visit the mouth of the Sevilla River and see the exotic birds that inhabit the Magdalena region. Did you know that the largest community of cormorants in Colombia is found here?
We'll also spot the occasional Northern screamer, an endangered bird that has vital importance in maintaining the ecosystem of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta. As well as admiring the variety of wildlife in this area, you'll also be able to take in the unique mangrove landscape around you and the natural beauty of the river estuary.
After we've had a delicious traditional meal, we'll return to Barranquilla. We should arrive back at your hotel at 3:30 pm.
