San Martín de los Andes Day Trip
Day Trip Details
Crossing the coast of the Nahuel Huapi Lake, we'll leave Bariloche towards Villa La Angostura, known as 'Patagonia's Garden'. This nickname comes from the stunning forest environment that surrounds the city. And having admired its colourful landscapes, we'll begin our tour of the 7 lakes of Patagonia.
The first lake we'll find is the Correntoso Lake, then the Espejo (mirror) Lake and following that the Bailey Willis Lagoon. Our route then continues, crossing the bridges which span the Ruca Malén stream and the Pichi Traful River. And this is how we'll make our way to the 'Hidden Lake' where we'll visit a viewpoint allowing you to take scenic photos of the stunning natural landscapes of the region.
The tour continues, through a wooded area where the Villarino and Falkner lakes come together, and having marvelled at the expanse of water, we'll head to the famous Vuliñanco waterfall. Next, the tour heads to Machónico and Lácar lakes, where we have the opportunity to visit the city of San Marin de los Andes.
Here you'll have two hours in the historic city to eat lunch and explore its famous artisanal stalls before heading back to Bariloche, arriving around 7 pm.
