Bariloche 3 Lakes Trip
Bariloche 3 Lakes Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Bariloche at the designated time before heading south along the iconic Ruta Nacional 40 Highway.
After driving for around 40 minutes, we'll arrive at the impressive glacial Lake Guillelmo, one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. We'll explore its shores and the mouth of Lake Mascardi and observe a variety of wonderful animal species. In this area of mountainous vegetation, we'll learn more about the forest's toponymy and origins.
Next, as we follow one of the arms of Lake Mascardi, we'll arrive at the watershed, a significant landmark in the history of Argentine Patagonia. This natural spot, named after the friar and missionary Nicolas Mascardi, is considered one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the province of Río Negro and will astound you the moment you set eyes on it.
Lake Gutiérrez is the next stop on the tour and is one of the most visited places in the summer season. This lake is covered in more than 1600 hectares of beautiful 'coihue' beech forest. Here, we'll go for an easy walk, suitable for the whole family.
Finally, after an approximately 5-hour trip, we'll head back to your hotel in Bariloche.
Why Choose This Trip?
This day trip is an unconventional experience that allows you to explore some of the lesser-known lakes in the region. Plus, the landscapes and sites we visit will provide a deeper insight into the history of Patagonia, from its origins to the present day.
