12 Days in Argentina
Day 1: Bariloche
On the first day of your tour, we'll pick you up from the airport or bus station in Bariloche and take you to your hotel. You'll then have the rest of the day free to explore this city, located in the foothills of the Andes on the southern shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Day 2: Bariloche
We'll get going after breakfast, heading to Lake Nahuel Hualpi, where we'll see Huemul Island from Playa Bonita. From this picture-postcard view, we'll next make our way up to the top of Cerro Campanario, an ideal viewpoint to see San Pedro, Isla Victoria and the Otto Hills.
Continuing our tour of the region's most important places of interest, we'll get to admire the San Eduardo Chapel, Lago Escondido lake and Lopez Bay, before stopping at Lago Moreno lake and returning to Bariloche for the night.
Day 3: Bariloche - El Calafate
We'll take you to the airport or station in Bariloche so that you can make your journey to El Calafate. Then, on your arrival, we'll be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day free in El Calafete.
Day 4: Parque Nacional de Los Glaciares
After breakfast, we will set out for Los Glaciares National Park, where we'll have the opportunity to see the immense Perito Moreno glacier. We'll spend two and a half hours walking along the footpaths around the glacier to make the most of the different breathtaking perspectives of this ice giant, whose walls reach up to 80 metres high. At the end of the tour, we'll return to the hotel in El Calafete.
Day 5: El Calafate – Buenos Aires
On day five, we'll accompany you to the airport or station in El Calafate for your journey to Buenos Aires. We'll then pick you up when you arrive and transfer you to the hotel, leaving you to spend the rest of the day as you please.
Day 6: Buenos Aires
Today will be dedicated to exploring Buenos Aires, and we'll pick you up from the Panamericano Hotel at 9:15 am or 3:15 pm for a guided tour of the Argentinian capital. We'll head down 9 de Julio Avenue and pass by the Colon Theatre and the iconic Obelisk.
After admiring the city's most emblematic monuments, we'll head to Puerto Madero. This neighbourhood is unique in that its streets are dedicated to famous Argentine women. Later, we'll head to Palermo, the so-called green lung of the city thanks to its numerous beautiful parks and gardens. Our tour will then end in Recoleta, or on Sundays in San Telmo to visit the antiques fair there.
Day 7: Buenos Aires – Puerto Iguazu
Having had breakfast, we'll drop you off at the airport or bus station so you can go to Puerto Iguazu via your booked means of transport. We'll then pick you up on your arrival to take you to the hotel, and you'll have free time to explore Iguazu at your leisure.
Day 8: Iguazu Falls (Argentinian side)
We've got an exciting day ahead of us seeing one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: the Iguazu Falls. We'll get to explore the impressive waterfalls from different perspectives as well as taking a trip on the Rainforest Ecological Train that runs through the forest in Iguazu National Park.
We'll reach the Garganta del Diablo lookout point for unparalleled views of the most impressive waterfall in the national park - breathtaking! At 5 pm, we'll drop you back off at the hotel in Puerto Iguazu.
Day 9: Iguazu Falls (Brazilian side)
Ready to see a new side of the spectacular Iguazu Falls? After breakfast, we'll set off for the Foz de Iguazu National Park, the Brazilian part of the falls. Fully immersed in the lush nature of the Brazilian jungle, we'll have a full view of the 275 waterfalls.
At the end of the trip, we'll head back to hotels Puerto Iguazu.
Day 10: Puerto Iguazu – Mendoza
We'll pick you up from the hotel in Puerto Iguazu and take you to the airport or train station so you can make the journey to Mendoza, where we'll be be waiting for your arrival to transfer you to the hotel. You'll then have the rest of the day free.
Day 11: Mendoza
After breakfast on our penultimate day together, we'll embark on a guided tour of Mendoza. Admire the main churches, streets and squares of this picturesque Argentinian city as we explore its historic streets. We'll also go the place where Pedro del Castillo founded the city and visit the museum there.
We'll visit the Chapel and Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, the San Francisco Ruins, the Paseo El Rosedal, the Monument to the Army of the Andes located on the Cerro de la Gloria, and the Plaza de la Independencia or Independence Square.
At the end of full day of sightseeing, we'll head back to the hotel in Mendoza to relax on our final night.
Day 12: Mendoza
You'll have the final day of our tour free to explore the city at your own pace, although we highly recommend you try the local wines. Did you know that Mendoza produces 75% of Argentina's wines?
The time will then come for us to say goodbye, and we'll drop you off at the airport or bus station at the end of twelve unforgettable days discovering the best of Argentina.
