Bari & Polignano a Mare Private Tour
Bari & Polignano a Mare Private Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet at Piazza Federico II di Svevia. There we'll start our tour of Bari and discover why the capital of Apulia captivates its visitors!
Did you know that Bari is famous worldwide for preserving the relics of St. Nicholas of Myra? After a brief introduction, we'll walk to the 12th-century Basilica of St. Nicholas and tell you all kinds of interesting facts.
Our walk will then continue to the Bari Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Sabinus, considered one of the city's most beautiful examples of Romanesque architecture. Afterward, we'll arrive at the castle of Bari, Castello Svevo, built in the 12th century by Roger the Norman. We'll finish the tour of Bari with a visit to Piazza Mercantile and its famous Column of Justice. What is the purpose of this column? We'll tell you all about it on the tour!
After exploring Bari, you'll get into your car and follow the guide to Polignano a Mare. Once there, we'll visit the historic center of this picturesque village, full of ancient mansions, small squares, and winding streets.
Of course, we won't leave without soaking up the breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea from its cliffs! Lastly, we'll check out the statue of the great singer Domenico Modugno, the perfect opportunity for a souvenir photo.
After five hours, we'll return to the starting point in Bari.
