After a brief intro at the meeting point, we'll climb onto our bicycles and begin pedaling around Bari city center. Following the guide around the narrow, winding streets of the historic center, we'll see emblematic monuments like the Basilica di San Nicola and Bari Cathedral. We'll also make a stop to admire the impressive façade of Bari's castle, the Castello Svevo, which dates back to the 12th century!
Entering the typically labyrinthine alleyways that characterize Bari's old town, we'll witness the local signoras maintaining a deeply-rooted tradition: making pasta in the street! We'll head to the newer part of the city to admire the beautiful theatres, as well as pass by Bari's most luxurious shops and boutiques.
This bicycle tour of Bari will also take us down to the seafront promenade, one of the loveliest places in the city to enjoy a bike ride. Of course, it wouldn't be a tour of an Italian city without a visit to a local gelateria! We'll make a stop to taste some of the delicious ice cream before bringing the two-hour tour to an end by the beach.
Bike rental
At the end of the guided tour, you can choose to rent the bicycles for additional time to continue exploring the city on two wheels at your own pace. If you'd like to do this, you'll be asked to pay a deposit of 50 Euros per bike, which will be given back to you on return of the bikes. You can rent the bikes up to 7 pm at the latest.
