Join us to visit Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare on this day trip from Bari. We'll discover the charms of three of the jewels of Apulia!
Description
At the indicated time we'll meet in front of the Teatro Petruzzelli to begin our day trip to Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare. A day of discovering these three jewels of Apulia awaits us, let's go!
The first stop will be Alberobello, the famous city of the "trulli". We'll walk through the cobbled streets of its historic centre to see what makes it a unique place in the world. Did you know that it's part of the list of World Heritage Sites? The trulli are sure to catch your eye, the circular buildings with a stone roof are the symbol of this charming town. It's the perfect place for a photo!
The second destination to visit is Monopoli, located on the southern coast of Bari. Its old town, protected by high walls and a 16th-century castle, will make you fall in love with it. Moreover, it still preserves the essence of a true fishing village, quiet and peaceful during the day, but lively and vibrant at night. While there, you'll have free time to have lunch - do you fancy tasting the fresh fish?
We could not return to Bari without first visiting Polignano a Mare, a jewel located on a cliff overlooking the sea. You'll lose yourself among its labyrinthine alleys that open out onto breathtaking balconies overlooking the Adriatic.
Did you know that Polignano a Mare is also the birthplace of Domenico Modugno? You can see his statue on the promenade. Fun fact: this destination has been chosen as the setting for several international film productions.
Finally, we'll say goodbye to Polignano a Mare and return to Bari, where we'll arrive after a total of 8.5 hours of excursion.
