Dolomite Mountains Day Trip
Between 7 am and 8:25 am, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point and head to the Dolomite Mountains. We'll spend an unforgettable day exploring these beautiful mountain massifs in the Italian Alps and visiting some picturesque villages.
The first stop of the day will be in either Moena or Cavalese, two charming alpine villages. Afterwards, we'll head to Lake Soraga so you can take some photos of this enchanting spring in the River Avisio.
Next, we'll head to Pordoi Pass, which stands at 7,300 feet (2,200 metres) above sea level. From here, we'll look out at an incredible panoramic view of three of the most famous peaks in the Dolomite Mountains: Marmolada, Sella and Catinaccio.
You'll then have 2 hours 30 minutes of free time to have lunch in Pordoi. If you'd like, you can take the cable car to the 'Balcony over the Dolomites'. From this viewpoint, you'll see breathtaking views of the Fassa Valley and the sheer enormity of the mountains before you.
Once we've reconvened, our last stop of the day will be Ortisei. Famous among skiing enthusiasts, this town is renowned for its wooden houses, beautiful churches and numerous chocolate and tea shops. We'll give you around 1 hour 30 minutes of free time to stroll through the streets and explore at your leisure.
It'll then be time to finish our day trip and return to the different starting points, where we should arrive between 6:20 pm and 7:35 pm.
