La Pedrera-Casa Milà Guided Tour
Tour Options
Upon booking, you can choose between the following tours. In both, you'll have an English-speaking guide who will tell you all of the secrets of one or two of Gaudí's most impressive works in Barcelona.
La Pedrera-Casa Milà
Once we're all here, we'll start a guided tour of La Pedrera, also known as Casa Milà, the last work created by the modernist architect Antonio Gaudí. First, we'll admire the characteristic façade of this 20th-century bourgeois house, where the undulation and wrought-iron railings will impress you.
We'll enter La Pedrera and travel back in time as we walk through The Pedrera Apartment. What was life like for a bourgeois family in Barcelona at the time? The furniture and details we see along the way will give you an idea of this lifestyle.
Afterwards, we'll explore the two inner courtyards, The Flower and the Butterfly Courtyards. We'll continue our tour of La Pedrera and visit The Whale Attic, a loft that will give you the sensation of entering the interior of a great living being.
Finally, we'll go up to The Warrior Rooftop, where the famous chimneys representing the warriors and guardians of La Pedrera await us. From here, you'll also have breathtaking views of Barcelona.
After an hour and 15-minute guided tour, we'll say goodbye at the meeting point.
La Pedrera-Casa Milà + Casa Batlló
If you fancy visiting not one but two of Gaudí's most important buildings in Barcelona on the same day, this is your best option. To begin with, we'll visit Casa Batlló.
We'll admire its impressive façade, full of bright colours that will remind you of the marine world, a recurring theme in the Catalan architect's work. Once inside, we'll explore the different rooms of this house and see what the lifestyle of the Batlló family was like in the 20th century.
First, we'll explore the main floor, where we'll find the great hall and from where we'll have fascinating views of the Passeig de Gràcia. We'll then admire the main dining room and the modernist courtyard, anteroom to the inner courtyard, which gives access to the rooftop. Once at the top, we'll admire the chimneys made with trencadís, one of Gaudí's signature techniques.
At the end of the visit to Casa Batlló, we'll go to La Pedrera and follow the itinerary detailed above.
After a visit of 2 hours and 45 minutes, we'll finish the tour outside La Pedrera.
