Montserrat Wine Tour
Montserrat Wine and Tapas Day Trip
Setting off from the Barcelona Nord Terminal in the city centre, we'll make the 1-hour journey to the expansive Montserrat mountain range. Along the way, our expert guide will tell us all about the rich history and culture of the region.
Montserrat Monastery
Our first stop will be at Montserrat Monastery. Here, we'll enjoy a fascinating guided tour, which will include stories and legends of 'La Moreneta', the Black Madonna that has been guarded by monks in the monastery for centuries. While we're here, you'll have around an hour of free time to visit the Museum of Monserrat, to explore the area and to enjoy the incredible mountain views.
Local Winery
Next, we'll make our way to a local winery, where you'll learn all about the area's age-old winemaking traditions and gain an insight into the fascinating process of wine production. No trip to a winery is complete without a wine tasting. While we're here, we'll try three fine wines from Montserrat accompanied by a selection of traditional homemade tapas. Welcome to paradise!
After indulging in these fine local delicacies, we'll begin making our way back to Barcelona. You'll be dropped off in the city centre approximately 7.5 hours after departure.
